My bucket list.
It ain't very long, but this road, from Sunizona to Willcox was on my list for a very long time.
Checked it onthe map an GE, looked pretty quiet. And it was.

This road.

BTW, there is a fairly good restaurant in Sunizona.....

There is a national park in the mountains.

AAAaaahhh.. the vieuws..

I stayed in Willcox, love that little town, but there is a B&B along this road.. Unfortunatly after my operation I had to say goodbye to Arizona.

Getting close to Willcox.

Stayed a week in Yuma in the Hacienda motel, cheap and spotless. It sits along a fairly busy road, but slept every night all night. And there are a few restaurants, a bakery and a maxican supermarket right beside it that made outstanding burrito carne asada's.

It is a neat town, the old part. They are trying and doing, imho, a great job keeping it clean.

This is an old pivot point of a draw bridge, far from the colorado river.

On this old picture you can see that the river was once a lot bigger.... And this was the smallest point. That's why the bridges are in Yuma,.

Building the stil existing ocean to ocean bridge.

And to this day in use....

Across the river is California offcourse. You can walk across and there is an old fort. You would think they take care of that antique building, but no, it is falling apart... just like the church beside it.

Nice views though.

Down town is a few blocks from the bridge. There are some neat stores, but many buildings are vacant. There are some great restaurants, and a outside market.

Rooftop terras/restaurant.

Took this pic from the famous yuma prison. No, i didn't do anything wrong.... it is a museum, nice museum. Was there in 1994 and it was just an old building, but the folks of Yuma did a great job fixing it up. Nice souvenir store and musem.

There was no museum in 94 as far as I remember. just one room with some stuff.

My kind a lady....

Thanks! Arizona provides lots of great natural scenery. It's a lot of fun...and free, for the most part!

Cool pictures! I hadn't realized that there was a preserve in Gilbert. That seems like it would be a really cool place to go to go do some picture-taking! Where is that place/what major cross streets is it at? Also, are there any fish in the water there? And is it only open during certain hours?
