I understand that the housing crunch has been severe in Az. but to make the top ten worst run states, there has to be more than just that.
Probably because of it's extremes in everything. Extreme policies, extreme people. I don't see how it's anymore complicated then that.

"Decapitated buildings"... that's really a good one. LOL. But Ponderosa is right on here - the buildings in Phoenix, both public and private, are in very good shape and the City is very clean compared to other major metropolitan areas both nationally and internationally. This is something we can be proud of and is hinted on everytime during visits by my family from Germany. And yes, Germany is overall a pretty clean country too. That makes Phoenix stand out even more.
