I am currently 20 years old and looking at moving to Bullhead, Arizona and spent 6 years in Kingman, Arizona and went through alot of racism, from having swasticas painted on my house to getting shot at simply for being half black. I was wondering how the racial living conditioins are in Bullhead

Considering I haven't heard of a single hate crime in this town in the almost 5 years I've lived here, your stories are just a bit hard to swallow.

[mod cut-- rude/personal] theres only one 4plex back there if its that big of a deal 2 u drive by get the address and cross reference it with the paper or police reports or whatever you feel is necessary

No to be honest with you I kind of think its neat that you care enough to want to look it up, I am upset I suppose because some of the things my familywent through I do not think anyone should belittle me for, or imply that I would lie about something like that. But anyway I cant give you dates or a police report on the swasticas because my father tried very hard to cover them up before us kids saw them (theres 3 of us). But the gunshots my mom filed a police report about and I honestly dont know the date I know her 4 plex is the only one back there that is a 4plex and it was late in July 2007 I'm pretty sure, because she moved shortly after that. And I am sorry for being rude to you its just kind of a sore subject to me.

Ok, ok. You sound pretty sincere. We see a lot of folks register here with the sole intent to vent their spleen and blame their failings on their town. That's what your post appeared to be as well. Maybe I'm calling that wrong. If what you're saying is true, then I'm sorry it happened to you. Odds are it was some ignorant fool, probably a kid. Swastikas are the logo of the Nazi Holocaust regime. They killed Jews, not blacks. For someone to paint a Swastika on a black or mixed family's home just shows how truly ignorant they are. They probably don't even know what the symbol means. You can and will find idiots like this everywhere. It's absurd to characterize an entire town as being racist because of some ignoramus you had in your neighborhood. I personally find that extremely insulting, being a resident here myself.

Well ive been through lots more then that not to mention my mother who is 100% black but Im not going to post all that lol. I dont particularly think Kingman is a bad place I actually made a lot of very good friends there and in my age group for the most part it wasnt an issue. And I never had any problems visiting Bullhead or Laughlin for that matter but I am going to have a child soon and i guess I am a bit paranoid that they will go through the same things. Lol but Im not trying to vent nor do I really care to have a pity party I think everyone goes through their own trials. But if I insulted you i am sorry that wasnt my intention, I merely want to make sure that I wont be moving into the same thing in Bullhead.

My personal opinion is that Bullhead will be worse for you. I see a lot more MS-13 and Swastika tattoos on necks of skinheads in Bullhead than I've ever seen in Kingman. In fact, I've never seen those kind of punks here. Truth? If you want to get away from racism, you need to move to a nicer neighborhood, no matter what the town is.
