hi, we are relocating to the southwest, from a town about 35,000, just an hr outside of detroit, right on the lake. its job relating, and the choices are sierra vista, tuscon area, or west valley phoenix?hummm, not seeing alot of positive feedback for sierra vista...we are in our 40's...and love the dry hot heat, pool is perfect. not seeing much in rentals for townhouses in sierra vista either.or homes in general for that matter. we've talk to folks that have been in the area(sierra vista), and love it, and then friends that live in arrowhead ranch area...of phoenix, not into cold thats why we are relocating...any thoughts??/ friends live in avondale/glendale/peoria area, they say that all those areas are close by, and dont have to go into phoenix..yet next person says, tuscon area, homes look real nice in tuscon, and sierra vista, not hearing anything positive about living there...

I'd pick Arrowhead over Sierra Vista. Tucson is very pretty and offers lots of outdoor activities, but not sure about housing.

Both are nice, but when I moved from Ohio ten years ago, I moved to Phoenix to be closer to my cousins. I highly recommend moving close to your friends. Also going into Phoenix is not like going into Detroit. You won't need to pack nearly as much "heat". Just Kidding. The other concern is where you will be working? Make sure that you check into the commute time before you decide on an area.

Good Luck
