My husband and I are moving to Dexter Michigan from Ohio in August. We are going to wait a year to buy a home because of the market. We are looking for an apartment/ townhome but everytime I do a search for apartments in Dexter I only get one result. Since we are moving on short notice we dont have much time to "shop around" and we will only be making one trip to come find a place. If anyone has any information on apartments or townhomes in Dexter it would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you!

I don't know of any apartments/houses for rent but do know that Reinhardt Realty (has several offices in Washtenaw County) does have a rental service for people who are relocating and aren't yet ready to buy. I'm not employed by them. I used them when my family & I moved to Dexter 4 1/2 years ago; I had one week to find a house at that time. I hope this gets to you in time for you to find a place to live. Dexter is a nice town, very quaint and scenic, especially in the fall, and has good schools, which is good for resale value even if you don't have children. If I can help with anything else, pls write again.

Walkabout Creek is the only apartment complex I can think of in Dexter.
Try Craigslist for Ann Arbor area - there may be some Dexter properties listed there. Also, try to talk to a realtor - I know there are houses that have been on the market for a long time and haven't sold that people are now willing to rent. Best luck with your move. Dexter is a great area.

I just moved to Dextre recently and it's a nice little town. There are some nice condos that may have a rental option in the Huron Farms subdivision area. Due to the market I have a feeling there's lots to rent nearby. Welcome to Michigan. Let us know what if anything you found.
