Does anyone know where the 6 figure jobs are at in Anchorage? I am a chemical/process engineer and it does not seem to be in the engineering field (unless you have a bigillion years of experience), even a PE does not seem to be opening up doors as the job postings just are not there. There are several EE postings but I question thoes jobs compensation, I am willing to cross train, put in the hard work, etc but am not going to do it for free. I am stagnating at my job now but am not seeing to many 6 figure prospects, maybe I need to leave the engineering field all together as engineering does not seem that valued in our society. Waiting until I have 100 years of experience does not cut it either.

Some construction project manager jobs can get you $100K of you specialize but unfortunately those jobs are far and few between. And with the fallen economy, my DH who did have one of those PM jobs had to take a 25% pay cut just to get A job.
