I probably spend about $30 to $50 a month. Don't drink alcohol every day and when I do it's usually one drink. After age 65 (I am 71) health experts say one drink a day should be the limit anyway. Two every once in a while certainly will not hurt anything.
I don't budget any money to alcohol, specifically. We budget for "entertainment" which covers any drinks while outside the home, and we budget for "groceries" which covers any alcohol in the home. No idea what I actually spend each month on alcohol.
Weekly, on average spend $15.00-$20.00 on beer. The beer I typically drink is on the cheap end, Coors light and Milwaukee best light. Coors when I'm out at a bar and socializing with friends. At home, I drink Milwaukee.
I hide my alcohol $$ in the grocery $$ so I don't know! Ha!
On a serious note, I have a glass of wine when I get home from work, and usually one after dinner as well. Well, not really a whole glass, I'm guess maybe 3-4 ounces at a time. A bottle of wine lasts me 3 days, usually. The wine I buy is in the $10-$12 range. So I'm guessing 10-12 bottles a month? And then there's weekends. But that doesn't really come out of our household budget, we're in a band, and we use our band money for entertainment purposes. Plus probably 95% of the time drinks are free for the band anyway.
I probably spend $100-$125 a month on alcohol, mostly craft beer & some cheap wine. Have about $300 a month discretionary income, so can sort of afford it. But I add to that Himalaya Liver Care, another $7 a month. 60,000 beers and I am still surviving. I wouldn't drink so much if cannabis was legal & affordable.
I like some India Pale Ales, especially those that have hops that produce some physical effect, as that tells me to stop drinking, which alcohol doesn't do by itself until it's too late.
for me, it can be anywhere from $0 to $500 a month, but will usually average down to $50 to $100. trying to get this down lower for this year. i don't have the money for this crap and i am one more financial catastrophe away from drinking the same swill that homeless people drink.
Sounds like you need to drink a lot less, period. You don't want to be one step closer to financial catastrophe and be too drunk to do anything about it.

Just exactly what physical effect do you think hops provide? Hops are in beer to bitter down the sweet malts and to add flavor and aroma. The alcohol comes from the yeast converting sugar from the malts.
If $50/month is breaking you, you need to find some way to increase your income.
Generally, probably $100-$200. I had been frequenting a local brewery that had $2 pints on Sundays, but have mainly been drinking Guinness, Corona, and lighter beers at home this month at about a buck a bottle. I might go out to Buffalo Wild Wings once every two weeks, and stop in at a bar once a week.
On most weeks, I probably drink at least a case of beer, sometimes more, seldom less. With winter here, I'm drinking more. During the summers, when I drink, it's often socially or in a party setting, which often gets more expensive than drinking at home.
not breaking me, but I am trying to make cuts in my budget so I can pay off debt faster. I am also looking for another job, picking up extra shifts at my second job, and doing side gigs. with the responses on here, I feel like I was generally on par $$$ wise with most of these posters in terms of how much I spend. this year, however, will be a different story.

I do not have the time, money, nor desire to drink every day if that's what you're insinuating. do you have anything of value to contribute to the thread? in case you need a reminder, it is how much do you spend and/or budget on alcohol per month?
I usually don't order much alcohol when dining out, and I don't go to bars specifically to drink. Most of my drinking is at home. Anything at a restaurant is considered part of my "dining out" expenses.
On alcohol purchased in stores, I don't set a budget but probably spend $100-$150 per month. My significant other maybe drinks $15/month of that total.
2 6 packs Founders Stout -- 20$. 4 bottles of wine -- 60$. 1bottle bourbon, 1 of gin. So a little under 200$ a month.
