I just wanted to get some information on buying liquor online, especially whiskey. I never bought booze online before but if the price and/or availability is better I would definitely consider it. I realize alcohol is highly regulated and some sites ship to me in Chicago and others don't. I'm not sure why that is...although tax revenue must be the main reason. I guess with 50 states and the Feds there probably is a huge patchwork of regulations with regards to buying booze online. What are some good sites to find some better booze deals? Also, does anyone know of any secondary markets where you can buy directly from sellers? Like alcohol ebay...abay? Cheers!

You can buy stuff off e-bay, but it's kind of an odd deal. You have to agree that you are buying the bottle, not the contents, and a bunch of other odd stuff.
Buying the bottle and not the contents? That's crazy talk. If that was the case I'd sell all my empty bottles there. What's an empty bottle of Laphroaig 10 go for? If it's over 10 bucks then I could make some decent drinking money ironically enough.

You're missing the point. You're buying the collectible bottle. Any contents are incidental to the purchase of the bottle. Wink wink, nudge nudge. Get it?

Say no more...I saw that Monty Python skit too. Yah I get it. I'll have to look into that. How do you know if the contents are still intact then? Or is it one of those don't ask and don't tell policies?
