Good People IPA and Hopitoulos. You just can't beat those microbrews.

I've heard great things about Pliny the Younger. Beer advocate gives their ipa a perfect score of 100, for what that's worth. Unfortunately it's not available in Chicago yet.

It's not likely that it will be ever. I will tell you, Sierra Nevada Hoptimum is very similar in my opinion.

a couple yrs ago I waited 1 1/2 hours in line to get a pour of Pliny the Younger and honestly it was great, but not 100 points spectacular. It's more about hype than anything. I prefer IPA's (and Double/Imperials) from Alpine Brewing and Green Flash. Also i love Avery's Maharaja... it's availability is very spotty though.

I've been enjoying Green Flash West Coast IPA, Lagunitas IPA, and Laguntas Sucks. Definitely recommend all three, but the Lagunitas (Lagunitai?, Lagunitases?) are a bargain.

I'm really liking the rush of black IPAs coming to market right now. Alaskan's black IPA is delish.

Yah, lagunitas is great. I love all their stuff. I really enjoy their hop stoopid too, a great ipa. Plus they are opening a brewery in Chicago to boot. Mmm...fresh hop stoopid.

If you like Hop Stoopid you need to hunt down a bottle of Leafer Madness.

Sadly, it's not available in many cities:
Where to get our beers

Be sure to stock up whenever you're on the West Coast. The beers come to Philadelphia, but they're going to cost you an arm and a leg.
