For Christmas, I received a lovely bottle of Metropoligin, gin from a small-town distillery in southern Minnesota. It is complex and intense, the botanicals in your face. And isn't the art deco bottle that harkens back to the Roaring 20s a delight?
So I've temporarily put aside my Manhattans in favor of martinis!

Needed some beer to steam some hotdogs, so I grabbed a six pack of Kalik Gold. I drank one which reminded me how much I miss those clear bottle Becks I used to get in the Caribbean. I used to bring home a couple cases from some working trips. The only thing better was drinking Heineken on draft at a hotel bar in Amsterdam.
Château Beaulon 5 years Pineau des Charentes, Pares Balta sparkling wine and Les petits carreaux white wine.
NICE! Pineau des Charentes is delicious!
