Are there any websites you'd recommend for local Albuquerque jobs? I know about CareerBuilder.com and Jobing.com, but what about any others, that may be local to Albuquerque?

I'm not looking so much to find a job immediately, but to get an idea of what the rate of pay is for certain positions?

(I'm in the Hotel/Resort Hospitality Industry)

You may find some luck with indeed.com, which lets you search by estimated salary. Salary.com (a subsidiary of another job board whose name I forget) also can help you estimate your marketable salary (though knowing that, and $1, will buy you a 20 oz. soda from the machine.)

Also, I've always had the best luck with craigslist. Like five times better for callbacks, etc..

Best of luck!

Not sure specifically what in the hotel/resort industry you are looking for, but you might consider contacting places directly. For example, your previous post mentioned you are looking in RR for a house...the Hyatt Tamaya is not too far away, you might just contact them directly. There is also a small cluster of hotels/motels in the area near Intel in RR. If they are not hiring now, but an opening comes up, may places will look at resumes on file before placing ads.

Great idea, thanks. I also appreciate letting me know where there are some hotels in the area. I plan on searching, just having gotten that far yet.

I know AAA was hiring as well, and I think the ABQ Convention and Visitors Bureau had some job listings on their website...admin assistant, I think, but it's a foot in the door.

My husband put his resume on Monster dot com. He was looking for something in Knoxville, TN area and NM called him about a job. The rest is history.

With Monster, you can put in specific areas you want a job in.

A week before we moved, TN called with a job offer. LOL

Also, funkymonkey has posted this site before:

New Mexico Tech Jobs

It has gone through a workover. I don't know if I like it as well as before or not ( yet ).

I can't recommend any job websites for your line of work, but for future reference, this seems like it would be a decent place to work:

Andaluz Hotel – Luxurious Albuquerque Hotel in Downtown

(If nothing else, it should turn out pretty impressive visually.)

This hotel looks AWESOME! I checked out their employment section, and they have my exact position available right now! Too bad the start date is listed as September, and I won't be moving for a few months still.
