Thanks for all your advice everyone! I have appreciated all your help.

I will be arriving into ABQ at 2pm tomorrow for a short trip and fly home Wednesday evening ... haven't really set out an itinerary yet, but I do have my Fodor's travel book.

I think I'm going to go to the zoo/botanical gardens, going to explore UNM, Central, Nob Hill .. and maybe drive to Santa Fe on Tuesday.

I look to sample the New Mexico fare (although I don't like spicy spicy), and maybe visit Orchid Thai. I just plan on driving around and getting accustomed to the area -- my future home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have never been to NM, so this is going to be a fun adventure. My mom also thinks I should visit Taos, but I'm not sure ... I guess I don't really know what to do on my first visit. But I can scourer this place some more and get ideas.

What should I do on my first day? (Sunday)

I also forgot to add that I am taking the camera, so I will post pictures when I get back!

Definitely ride the tram (worlds longest). Check out Old Town, Downtown, and Nob Hill when you are done with the zoo. Drive a round, and just have a really fun time! Good luck with your trip!
