If you see a cop put your phone down, thats all it takes.Im sure they have more important stuff to atend to then to pull you over for talking on a cell phone, thats just taking away from catching the real criminals, and anyways it takes them forever to respond to a situation anyways.

I see folks talking on their cell & driving in ABQ every day.

Seems a number of people just ignore the law altogether anyway.

Yeah it gets ignored like every other law in this city. Albuquerque has more disrespectful people then any other place on the planet. Put your stupid phones away and drive. Nothing is more important then mija eating his first tortilla.

Default why pick cel phones?

If we ban cel phone usage while driving because it takes attention away from the road, why not ban kids in cars? I've been rear ended more than once by parents who were more focused on their children than on the traffic.

I agree with the ban also! If people were JUST talking on their phone, that's one thing. But I've seen so many who are talking, smoking and trying to turn....OR putting on mascara, talking and drinking coffee....just how many things can one do while driving?? It's not safe. I think it's different when you are on a highway without turns, stoplights, etc but why can't people just drive when it's time to drive and use their cellphone at other times?
