Wow, Chap all that talk of the Southwest part of ABQ is a little unfair and misleading. It has not attracted any of the sort of elements put forth here, it is the core foundation of ABQ, the culture if you will, and and those elements are everywhere. There is crime all over ABQ and all over any city for that matter. Anyhow, off the soap box...as property manager, i see all sorts of people and truely understand what makes up our city. There are "good" and "bad" people everywhere you look. The NW is overdeveloped and VERY transitional. Transitional areas seem to have more crime statistically, and we have seen this. The Southwest has experienced this also, but is an older part of ABQ and more stable. The East side has more short term renters, very transitional as well in areas.
