Hi, 2000 VW Passat owner here and just moved to ABQ about 5 months ago. I really don't want to go to a dealership or a shop since they are quoting me in the $800s-$1000's just for labor. I put an Ad on Craigslist but no luck. I'm looking for someone who can replace a water pump on my car.

You guys know of anyone who could do this?

I use Hans Wittler Automotive : website

I don't have a VW but I do take my German car here and they are probably the best service and price in town.

I think there is one at San Pedro and Constitution, but I'm sorry I don't know the name. It's across from a gas station.

Foreign Aide Parts and Services. I wouldn't recommend them. They don't know VW's as well as they say they do.

I also use Hans Wittler for my BMW. I had to replace all 4 breaks plus rotors and while it was in, they replaced a hose that had a hole in it and did an oil change and the bill was under $1000. Amazing! I've taken my car there twice in 2 years and have been really pleased with the service and prices.
