sorry just have to do this

An eagle was sitting on a tree resting, doing nothing.

A small rabbit saw the eagle and asked him, 'Can I also sit like you and do nothing?'
The eagle answered: 'Sure, why not.'

So, the rabbit sat on the ground below the eagle and rested. All of a sudden, a fox appeared, jumped on the rabbit and ate it.

Moral of the story:
To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be sitting very, very high up.

There is a couple of ponds that have them there once in a while when driving North.

Out at my cabin during the summer, we have them around all the time. When they hit the water, they sound like a canoe being thrown into the water or a float plane "dead sticking" a landing (lost engine) and I went to look the first few times thinking someone was in trouble, but only thing there was swans. Once you get use to it, sounds kinda neat. During the fall all the migratory birds from up North seem to land there for a break, lots of them all over the place, same in spring.

This is out front of the cabin

This was a pretty sad looking Eagle in the rain. Was taken in Sitka.

did anyone get to go to "The Eagle Ladies" tribute and clean-up?? I received a copy of the email with pictures that her son sent. Very sad but, very nice ending to a wonderful life. brought tears that the eagles now are as confused by all this as they have been fed for so many years. the pictures are outstanding. I am not sure re posting of this email is appropriate but if some one wants to read/see the pic's I will forward the email. If a moderator says I can post the email I will for everyone to see.
