You do realize that Anchorage and Fairbanks are 8 hours apart? Also if you are going to work in Fairbanks I would recommend living in Fairbanks as the cost of driving back and forth every day can get expensive.

There's plenty of time to talk to the judge and see if you can serve your sentnece somewhere else. North Pole is cruel and unusual punishment.

And that Fairbanks has a different and more brutal climate than Anchorage... Especially winter...

You might want to visit in January/February... Hopefully there isn't a warm spell, so you get to experience -40 degree weather. All Day and All night for a week straight - and then realize it could be like that for weeks on end.

If you want long, dark, and brutally cold than go to work in Barrow. It pays better for new nurses than Fairbanks or any hospital in Anchorage. Of course you need to get used to $9.99 for a gallon of milk and $6.00 loaves of bread but it's an experience like no other.
