I got an email this morning saying to got a road reservation on Sept 14th! I am so excited!! My husband was a bit disappointed. I was jumping around yelling "I won the lottery!" He thought we were millionaires.lmao Not as cool to him since he cannot go.

Will cabins and lodges still be open that weekend? Will it be too much of a PITA to bring the dogs? We have never taken them to a national park, but I think the rules are pretty strict about where they can go in the parks. I am also not too sure about camping this time since I am going to be alone with a 6 year old and my oldest, who is disabled.

Did I mention I am soooooo freakin excited??? Did anyone else get a reservation?

Congrats! Everything will be winding down and closed except the park run stops. All the private lodges at Wonder Lake end are closed and such. Pack a cooler of food and picnic stuff and you will have a great time! Have won it a few times in the past and you will need lots of film or space on your digital camera!

I'm Envious....

Here's the info they had in my confirmation: Pets must be secured in a vehicle, with the windows rolled up if barking, or be restrained on a leash while walking the road surface or in a campground.

I got into the road lottery a few years ago. Awesome experience. If I remember right, most services in Glitter Gulch (the park entrance area) stay open through that weekend, then close up immediately after.
