That kite skiing does look a lot of fun!

Looks like you all had a great time out fishing too!

Great shots of that moon, alaskabushrat!

Sunday 03/2-11

Interested in taking photos of the Auroras? Take a look at the forecast for Saturday and Sunday. Even Thursday and Friday nights the forecast is for "moderate," but the best will be Saturday and Sunday:
The Geophysical Institute Auroral Forecast Page

I imagine that some "picture-takers" will be calling-in sick the following Monday. A good excuse will be telling the bosses the following: "...I can't work today because I have to take my cat to the vet. It has chapped lips" I already scheduled annual leave, just in case.
----------
By the way, took a bunch of moon shots. But maybe I am the only person who finds taking pictures of the moon extremely boring, at least compared to taking photos of the Auroras?

Well now Ray that depends on how bad a photographer you are (me!). I stayed up taking pictures of the lunar eclipse but didn't know anything about my camera, night shots and I was shivering and shaking to boot. The pictures turned out so bizzare a few of them look pornographic! I showed them to Blueflames-she agreed!

Went downriver again today. Nephews and Niece had a great time in the wind...

Smaller Nephew hauled!

Until his cousin thought of this..

Yes, it was quite cold that night. I remember

I was out there during the lunar eclipse, and just after the first five or six shoots some clouds got on the way. By then I was quite cold, so I went home.
