You are one blessed individual. So the swans are on their way back? Or do they winter there? I may have to make a winter trip to Haines just to do some riding. Looks beautiful.

I dont know if they were on their way back or not. But is was entertaining to watch them break the ice.

Haines does have some good riding, especially in the spring time. There are logging roads you can ride on, which is nice. The trail we took up the mountain was actually a snow cat trail. These snow cats take skiiers up the mountain for some good skiing and snowboarding.

Gracious, I am jealous. These pictures are beautiful. I can't wait for my move to alaska. I want to see mountains covered with snow. The closest I have been to snow covered peaks is the smokies and they don't get anywhere near that much snow.
