I just don't have any steep creeks near the house. Might have to do some hiking in the near mountains and just spend a few hours practicing.

Exactly! Although it's going to be about 3 weeks before I can get a day to get out. Nuther week and a half of work, then flying to Florida for over a week, then 2 more weeks of work. All I can hope for is some northern lights and clear nights here in Kuparuk.

Beautiful, beautiful pictures ALL of you!! And Rance, those northern lights pictures were awesome!!! I love looking at all these pictures!! Alaska looks so pretty. We have some pretty places in IL, lots of corn and bean fields though. But sometimes a corn field can have it's beauty too, especially to the farmers!
