Is the 15th the absolute date when it will end? Are the hospitals overwhelmed? I'm just asking because I'm exploring the different ways states are handling things.

The hospitals are pretty much empty.

I still have so many honey do's to complete, I have another 5 weeks work to do.

I call it a Wife Imposed Quarantine. And my ratings have gone up 10 points too.

Certainly the ICUs in Montgomery are not. Patients are being sent from Montgomery to other towns.

Prediction: in about 4-6 weeks this situation will not look good for Alabama. Earlier in some areas.

Basing this only on numbers (of which data is limited) and my observation of human behavior within hours of ostensibly dropping all restrictions. As far as I can tell, the majority of the population is not opting to behave with a "safer at home" mentality, but is instead pretty much behaving normally.

We'll see how this goes down. I certainly hope my prediction proves false.

That's the thing. It's almost as if these idiots cannot think 7-10 days ahead. I cannot tell you how many times I've read the following:

-- You could be infected for a good two weeks before symptoms present themselves.
-- You could have the coronavirus and recover from it without ever knowing you had it.
-- If you have the coronavirus and are blithely walking through the grocery store, the Home Depot, or wherever without a mask, you could be killing someone without even realizing it.

I mean, you wouldn't in your wildest dreams empty a snub-nosed .38 into someone who is elderly or has an immunocompromised system, would you? Yet if you inadvertently stroll around without taking precautions, that could be what you're doing. There is no material difference between the outcomes. Both result in funerals.

I don't think most people realize just how few patients it's takes to overrun a hospital. And now that everyone is out and about, there's going to be an uptick in the usual car accidents and shootings, in addition to the coronavirus patients.
