If you're looking to meet new people I would highly suggest you get in with some of the young professionals groups in the area. That way you can build a base both personally and professionally and cover both bases. Next you could try some of the bars and clubs Downtown, in Highland Square, in University Park, and in the Valley, although I would say rolling solo would be a little inconvenient but not insurmountable.
Being 25 you could also wander into random parties at/near UA, you should still fit in!
Finally there's always online - meetup.com has groups for just about anything, Facebook Groups, etc.
But definitely some of the young professionals networking groups. It's no problem to come in, say you're new to the city, work downtown, and are looking to make some new connections. You're actually who they're looking for.
