Forgive me for going off topic here because I don't have an answer but I've been wondering something about reps myself. Why do some single reps give you like two or even four points and others only one?
Thanks Karla ... but I still can't do it. I couldn't understand anything from the thread.

Mona,
Scirocco22 is showing you what you have to type to get these smilies to appear in your rep message. For example, for this , you would type what he is showing after the equal sign without the spaces, i.e., a colon with an end parenthesis sign.
Same goes for the rest... pick the sign you want and put what he's listed after the equal sign... again, without the spaces. He had to include the spaces here to explain it; otherwise it'd show the smiley!
You can try them out in a DM or right here in your post as well, in addition to including them typed out in rep messages, as they work the same in all of these!
Hope this helps!

How many rep points you receive per rep is based on the rep power of the member giving it to you, i.e., the higher their post count combined with their rep count gives them the ability to give you higher rep points. However, in some forums, regardless of a member's rep power, only one point reps are permitted.

Ah! That's it. I'm sure I read this somewhere but I couldn't find it when I went to look for it. Thank you, News2sa.
Sure, you did great .I received good message with smiley from you.
Don't worry I am going to tell you if it was not correct.
