An interesting set of reviews of a restaurant just got deleted by a mod. Her view was that they were a customer complaint. In fact they were two mildly negative reviews and one more positive. The particular restaurant had been the source of much discussion earlier as to whether it was worth the money. This provided three good inputs to that discussion.

So...What is the criteria between a negative review and a customer complaint?

I would note that one of the strong values of CD is one can often find out where not to go or what not to do.

I agree, getting that information here, is preferrable to me than Yelp or other rating sites (where the goal is to increase your rating values, not necessarily the content). I had a post deleted due to my references on a business changing their appointment policy, which was the ultimate reason for their loss of my business. I suspect there's no line between a negative review and a customer complaint, they are considered one and the same.

Can you send me a link to the thread ? There's a difference between a review and a complaint, maybe the mod saw something you didn't. But to be sure, I need to know exactly what you're talking about.
