    Observation: The nonfood contact surface of the Reach in Cooler Shelving is not corrosion resistant, nonabsorbent, and/or smooth. Observed Rust and Peeling Paint.
    Correction: Nonfood contact equipment that is exposed to splash, spillage, food soiling, or requires frequent cleaning must be smooth, durable, and nonabsorbent.
  • Non-Food Contact Surfaces
    Observation: The nonfood contact surface of the Fan has accumulations of grime and debris.
    Correction: Clean the surface at a frequency necessary to preclude accumulation of soil residues that become encrusted or attract insects and rodents.
  • Plumbing System Maintained in Good Repair (corrected on site)
    Observation: Plumbing connections under the three sink are leaking. Observed a small leak around the sink and plumbing line connection.
    Correction: Plumbing systems and components shall be maintained in good repair.
  • Physical Facilities in Good Repair
    Observation: The Metal bracket by the hot line is not maintained in good repair. Observed an unsecured piece of metal bracket.
    Correction: Maintain physical facilities in good repair. Poor repair and maintenance compromises the functionality of the physical facilities.

    Observation: In use open drinking containers stored in a manner that may contaminate food, food contact surfaces or utensils. Opened water bottles staged throughout the production area. Beverages were removed.
    Correction: Employees may drink from a closed beverage container if the container is handled to prevent contamination of (1) The employee's hands (2) The container and (3) Exposed food clean equipment, utensils, and linens and unwrapped single-service and single-use articles.
  • Equipment - Good Repair and Proper Adjustment
    Observation: Interior of refrigerated cabinet is freezing up.
    Correction: Repair the reach in cooler to restore a state of condition that allows for proper operation, accuracy, functioning, maintenance, and cleanability per Part IV, Article 1 and 2 of this chapter. If unable to repair the reach in cooler, replace it with one that meets the specifications of Part IV, Article 1 and 2 of this chapter.
  • Critical: Plumbing - Approved System and Cleanable Fixtures*
    Observation: The plumbing system serving this food service facility has not been designed, constructed, and installed according to the Plumbing Code. Installed Plumbing not connected/operational to generate hot water. Alternative system was implemented to generate hot water from steam line to provide for handwashing and ware washing
    Correction: EHS will confer with his/her supervisor, determine scope of possible contamination of the water supply, and refer the matter to the building official's office.
