Honestly, do you see that actually happening?

Yes. You can hang on to your gas powered vehicle until well after that, and we'll still be able to buy used gas powered vehicles.

Did anyone believe they'd actually ban smoking in restaurants or airplanes? Or that car seats for children would be required by law? ( "According to California State Law, children must be seated in the rear seat of a vehicle in an appropriate car seat or booster seat until they are 8 years old or 4'9″ tall. Children must remain in a rear facing car seat until they weigh 40 pounds or more or are at least 40 inches tall.") Or that we'd be required to have smog inspections for our vehicles ? Or that we'd have statewide mandatory organic waste collection?

Last one I believe is on the state from reading the other thread and not on the residence. Regarding the rest of what you posted, none of that is radical. Banning ICE cars is extremely radical move that society is not ready for. I am not seeing the public buying into no new ICE cars after 2035

I concur. Not only radical but extremely expensive. Recycling organic matter properly, requiring seat belts or no more smoking inside buildings is a good thing and doesn't cost a dime.

Yes. I like looking at the current inventory Vanguard Motors has as well as what's sold. If the automakers ever build an EV that looks like those classics, I'll get on board. Otherwise, today's EV's are just vanilla. No style, no class, nothing that gets your blood pumpin'

They should just ignore the California rules and tell California to do something about it.

Are you sure?

Sales of used vehicles can be banned in a minute too.

Most likely, prices of used gasoline-engine vehicles will increase significantly. That's what Newson wants, so prices of electric vehicles won't be considered as high as they are now.
