A final pre-opening inspection was conducted at the facility. The following observations were made and are acceptable: 1. PIC has good food safety knowledge. 2. Calking and sealing requirements for all counters, equipment, and sinks is OK. 3. Air gaps for potable water supply within facility are OK. 4. Bathrooms provided and OK. 5. Covered solid waste disposal containers are OK. 6. Physical facility floor and wall surfaces appear to be smooth and cleanable. 7. All refrigeration equipment is OK with adequate thermometers. 8. Hand sink is OK with warm water, soap, and towels. 9. Vent hood available and OK. 10. Entire facility is very clean. 11. Mop sink provided and OK 12. Three (3) compartment sink provided for ware washing and OK with air break. 13. Lighting OK. 14. Hand and ware washing sink signs OK. 15. Non-smoking sign at front entrance. This facility meets the requirements of the Virginia Food Regulations and is now permitted by this Department, Central Shenandoah Health District. Adequate light intensity within the kitchen to meet requirements within the Virginia Food Regulations. An assessment of the entire food related facility, including the proper function of relative equipment (machines, sinks, refrigeration, etc...) will be made during the next scheduled inspection to determine adequacy of the facility for final approval and permitting by this Department.
