    Observation: Observed raw beef stored above cooked RTE food and in another unit raw thawing meats were stored above the cookie bars.
    Correction: OPERATOR CORRECTED AT TIME OF EVALUATION. Separate raw foods during storage, preparation, holding, and display from raw RTE food including other raw food such as fish for sushi or molluscan shellfish, or other raw RTE food such as vegetables, and cooked RTE food.
  • Critical: Date Marking - Ready-to-Eat - Potentially Hazardous Food - Date Marking*
    Observation: The prepared ready-to-eat (RTE) food- (grits) in the refrigeration unit is not properly dated for disposition.
    Correction: Mark the name and "consume by" date on the container of RTE foods at the time of preparation if the food is to be held for more than 24 hours. If the food is held at 41°F or below the food shall be served or sold within 7 calendar days. Some harmful bacteria continue to grow even at refrigeration temperatures so limiting the amount of time in storage limits the amount of growth allowed for these bacteria.

Couldn't figure out how to enter. Doors seemed sealed and there were no stairs. Then a nice lady told us that customers enter around back.

A very dirty place. Roach carcasses in window. Bathrooms are filthy and people there are rude. They don’t like children.. they prefer to kill babies before they are born..Avoud the dump. Illicitly behaviors in bathroom by employees..

My review is that it needs new management and new owners, plus probably new employees as well. Especially since they all flunked their diversity training.

Stephanie Wilkinson (co-owner of Red Hen). You adamantly complain when a certain business owner refuses to bake a wedding cake for a gay couple. But you find it justifiably appropriate to refuse someone service because you do like the boss she works for? Your behavior can be only described as grossly hypocritical. Your ethical compass is obviously severely flawed and completely dysfunctional. Your actions are disgraceful and you are probably unaware of the precedence you have now established. Today, anyone in Lexington that has an issue with YOU can take retribution and revenge against any of your employees. You are clearly an ignorant fool!

Their hatred for the rule of law and common courtesy and respect for other people is appalling, to say the least.
They need to leave our country if they can't respect our duly elected people.
Here they serve aborted fetuses to pedophiles, and semen laden soups from poopy penises.

I am planning to visit this area next month. I've been looking for good clean restaurants. Just looking at the health dept reports is plenty to not want to eat there. And that is not defamatory since it's a govt report.

If you don't agree with the Owners Political views he throws you out. There are much better places to enjoy a relaxing evening with family and friends with no worries about the Owner acting like a complete idiot. I'm sure his business will suffer many losses and he can only blame himself.
