Some harmful bacteria continue to grow even at refrigeration temperatures so limiting the amount of time in storage limits the amount of growth allowed for these bacteria.

Advised once more not to use it is repaired and food is holding at or below 41 degrees F. Top of unit is maintaining at safe temperatures. Permit issued.

Advised to discontinue use of prep refrigerator for potentially hazardous foods until it has been repaired. This has been a repeat violation. Certified food manager is not working today. Advised this is a violation of Virginia Beach city ordinance which requires presence of CFM a minimum of 8 hours daily during operating hours. Please call when refrigerator has been repaired or replaced.
