Discussed with the person in charge: inspection conducted for 2015 season - this mobile unit is in substantial compliance with the Virginia State rules and regulations regarding restaurants. Therefore permit is issued. Post your permit and inspection results in an area where the public can see it.
  • Equipment - Cooking and Baking Equipment (corrected on site)
    Observation: The cavity of the microwave oven is observed soiled.
    Correction: Using the manufacturer's recommended cleaning procedure, clean the microwave oven at least every 24 hours.
  • Physical Facilities - Cleaning Frequency and Restrictions
    Observation: The air vent covers are noted in need of cleaning.
    Correction: All floors, walls, and ceilings must be cleaned as often as necessary to keep them clean. Cleaning of the physical facilities is an important measure in ensuring the protection and sanitary preparation of food. A regular cleaning schedule should be established and followed to maintain the facility in a clean and sanitary manner.

Inspection conducted as an opening inspection for McCoy's BBQ.
The following observations were discussed with the person in charge:
-Food Sources Approved.
-Bleach used as a sanitizer in the 3 compartment sink, test strips provided.
-Gloves/Hats/Thermometers provided.
-Fresh Water Tank: 43 Gallons
-Waste Water Tank: 50 Gallons
-Food grade hose provided, backflow prevention device provided.
-Waste water disposal and fresh water provided by Aquia Campgrounds.
-Ensure steam table, toaster and Reach in Cooler shelves are all cleaned and sanitized prior to use.
-No Food prep observed during this inspection.
Trailer observed to be very clean!
Facility appears to meet the requirements of state and/or local regulations, permit has been issued.
