LEx #816152 A report was received that stated that multiple students and staff have been ill with suspected Norovirus in this facility. EHS provided a copy of VDH Norovirus Prevention Guidance booklet to Director and discussed time frames for excluding ill staff. Use of sodium hypochlorite (household bleach) in cleaning was discussed. Kitchen staff have not been out recently with GI symptoms and were aware of employee health policy. Reminders for date marking - mark the date on RTE PHF/TCS foods to indicate a maximum seven day holding period -> applies to food opened in or prepared in the establishment. For example a food made today March 31 can be marked 03/31 - date of prep 04/06 - date of discard Tuesday - day of prep Monday - day of discard All staff & foods must be marked/using the same system.
