Facility was not in operation at the time of inspection. Person who met me on site, Ms. Betty Craig, is not the Person In Charge and was not completely familiar with the food facility operations (I.E. -- log book for tracking receiving temperature of milk product, location of thermometer, complete sanitizing procedure used, etc.). There was no food on site at time of inspection. Ms. Craig stated that only pre-packaged foods they receive at their church site in Petersburg are transported to the Prince George location for distribution to the children. The children are not allowed to bring food from home. The milk they are served is delivered by Marva Maid. Some responses on the report are marked as "IN" instead of "N/O" because the computer program will not allow them to be marked any other way (i.e. -- Items 1,2,3,11,13,14,20). Water was turned off in one of the sinks in the boys bathroom. Ms. Craig stated that she thought that was due to a leak that had occurred. Water was turned off to both sinks in the girls bathroom. Ms. Craig stated that they currently do not have any girls enrolled in the care center, but was not sure if there had been a leak or if it was turned off due to the recent cold outdoor temperatures. **The recommendation is that the next inspection should be scheduled during actual operating hours with the Person in Charge of the food facility on site.**

No food on premises at time of inspection, therefore, no food being distributed. Shelf stable USDA prepackaged foods will be provided. No cooking required. Milk will be provided by Marva Maid and stored in the Whirlpool Upright Refrig./Freezer. Disposable silverware will be used. A mixture of chlorine and water with disposable rags will be used for cleaning/ sanitizing. A dumpster will be delivered by May 1, 2015 for trash disposal. Ms. Craig stated that Sherman Mason will run the kitchen/food operation. She did not know where he keeps the thermometer or sanitizing strips. A thermometer was observed in the Whirlpool Upright Refrig./Freezer. Ms. Craig also stated that the hours of operation will be changing with the new enrollment of children and the summer food program. Items marked as in are due to computer programming. No food on premises during inspection. No violation noted during this evaluation. | 04/16/2015 | Routine | |
