- This visit was made to conduct a routine inspection. The following items need long term correction: Obtain full food protection manager's permit when the limited food manager permit has expired.
Seal the 3 compartment sink to the wall.
  • Critical: Separation of Toxics by Spacing or Partitioning (corrected on site)
    Observation: Observed that poisonous and toxic materials are not properly stored to prevent the contamination of food, equipment, utensils, linens or single service items. I observed paint stored under the 3 compartment sink. The paint was relocated the a storage closet.
    Correction: All poisonous and toxic materials shall be stored to prevent contamination of food, equipment, utensils, linens, and single service items by separating the poisonous and toxic materials by spacing or partitioning.

This visit was made to conduct a routine food safety evaluation.
Note: All meals are catered in to food establishment except snacks. Discussed with manager the requirement of having employees wash their hands prior to putting on gloves when portioning out snacks such as crackers.
Note: Manager on site has a limited certification from ORS Interactive. A standard certified Food Protection Manager is now required with the new local Food Code. Make sure to obtain correct certification from ORS Interactive.

2. The Food Protection Manager is knowledgeable on their employee health policies.
3. Added the Salmonella non-typhoidal on their existing Big 5 poster.
4. Discussed the key changes on the 2013 Food Code, especially the establishment is providing a Limited Certified Food Manager now and a full certification in the future.
5. Attached to my report, the month of August food temperatures which is catered by Jeffery's.

    Correction: Food shall be protected from contamination that may result from a factor or source not specified under Subparts 3-301 through 3-306.
  • Maintaining Premises Free of Unnecessary Items and Unused Equipment
    Observation: Observed that items that are unnecessary to the operation or maintenance of the establishment are being stored on the premises.Broken TV and cart in the kitchen.
    Correction: Remove unnecessary items, including equipment which is no longer in use, from the premises to allow for regular and effective cleaning and to prevent harborage conditions.

    Observation: There is no test kit located in the facility for monitoring the concentration of the chemical sanitizing solutions (using bleach)
    Correction: A BLEACH / QUATERNARY AMMONIUM COMPOUND / IODINE test kit or other device that accurately measures the concentration in ppm (mg/L) of sanitizing solutions shall be provided.
  • Handwashing Signage at Handwashing Facilities Required (corrected on site)
    Observation: A sign or poster that notifies food employees to wash their hands is not provided at all handwashing lavatories used by food employees (staff bathroom)
