    Observation: There was no temperature measuring device located in the following cold or hot holding equipment: under counter refri (thermometer provided)
    Correction: Cold or hot holding equipment used for the storage of potentially hazardous foods (time/temperature control for safety food) shall be designed to include and shall be equipped with at least one integral or permanently affixed temperature measuring device that is located to allow easy viewing of the device's temperature display.
  • Refuse Container with Cover/ Women's & Unisex Toilet Room
    Observation: There is no covered refuse container for the disposal of feminine napkins in the ladies room stall (2 unisex bathrooms)
    Correction: A toilet room used by females shall be provided with a covered receptacle for sanitary napkins.

    Observation: Through conversation and/or review of written policy, it was determined that the establishment's employee health policy (EHP) is not compliant with the Food Code because: employees did not know all BIG 5 illnesses or all reportable symptoms. New employee health poster provided, review with all staff.
    Correction: Create and implement an EHP that: 1) requires employees to report certain symptoms (vomiting, diarrhea, jaundice, sore throat with fever, or a lesion/infected wound) and illnesses (Norovirus, Hepatitis A, Salmonella Typhi, E. coli, or Shigella)

This is a pre-opening inspection for a day care. the following needs corrections:
1. Missing hand wash signages at the rest rooms and in the room hand sink. Corrected.
2. Provide paper towel holder
3. Provide paper towels in the rest rooms.
4. Provide probe thermometer. Corrected.
5. Seals all the wall in the room including under the counter. Corrected.
6. Left side rest room has only 6 ft. candle light intensities.
7. The probe thermometer is 3F off.
8. The mop sink hot water knob fixture is locked.
*No 3 compartment sink provided. A contract was emailed regarding the needs of a 3 compartment sink.
*Recommended the issuance of the Alexandria Health Department permit.
