Review of initial plan review completed by Scott Widner. See comments below: Braehead Manor: 1. The application for permit indicates a seating capacity of 25. The definition of a bed & breakfast listed in the hotel regulations state: "Bed and breakfast facility" means a residential type establishment that provides two (2) or more rental accommodations and food service on any single day to a maximum of 18 transient guests for a period of five (5) or more days in any calendar year or any residential type of facility providing at least one rental accommodation for transient guests and food service for a total of 30 or more days in any calendar year. 2. Braehead Manor is not owner occupied. We are currently awaiting a response from Catherine Cummings as to whether or not this establishment can truly be considered a “bed & breakfast.” 3. The following items on your list are, indeed, needed from the establishment: a. Employee Health Policy b. Water Sample Test Results c. Thin Probe Food Thermometer All other listed items are not needed. 4. Ensure all refrigeration units have ambient air temperature thermometers. 5. All bedrooms and bathrooms need to be inspected as well prior to issuance of transient lodging permit.
