  • 5-202.14 - --At the garbage disposal in the kitchen there is a water outlet below the flood rim of the sink. The water outlet has an Atmospheric Vacuum Breaker (AVB) installed upstream of it, but the bell on the AVB is rusting on the inside and outside of the bell. Letting staff and the food service director for the school district know that this AVB needs to be replaced.

  • 3-501.17(B) - --In the Turbo Air Cooler there are four bags of sliced ham that are dated as being Opened, Sliced, and Frozen on 10/5. There is one bag of sliced turkey that is dated as being Opened, Sliced, and Frozen on 9/18. There is no thaw date on these packages. Upon speaking with the kitchen manager, she said she thawed them yesterday (10/15) right before she left to use today. COS - she is updating the date.
  • KDA_3_30611 - --Upon beginning inspection there was a tray of biscuits and gravy out on the counter with other trays of breakfast options that multiple students walked past before it was taken. Only the biscuits and gravy is exposed, everything else is in individually wrapped containers. There is no sneeze guard or other form of protection provided. COS - explaining violation to kitchen manager and giving her some options on it. After the initial tray, they only put out a biscuits and gravy tray when it was requested.
  • KDA_4_60111A - --There are two metal pitchers being stored as clean on a shelf next to the Turbo Air Cooler that have stickers on the bottom. The stickers are bar code stickers left over from the original purchasing of the containers. Corrected on Site (COS) - the kitchen manager will have these cleaned off.
  • KDA_4_90311C - --There are two stacks of styrofoam trays outside of their original protective packaging on the middle shelf of a cart that was in the dining area. These trays are neither covered nor inverted for protection.
  • KDA_Defacto - --4-Door Koch Cooler: Ambient - 41.2 F, Turbo Air Cooler: Liquid Egg Product - 42.7 F, Milk Cooler 1: Milk - 38.1 F, Milk Cooler 2: Milk - 36.3 F --Heat-sensitive test strips and quaternary ammonia test strips (good through 9/2016) were available. --Hot Water Dishwasher - 162.0 F --Lunch Meats thawing in cooler. --The thermometer inside of the turbo air cooler is broken. There is an integrated thermometer in the cooler that has a temperature display on the front of the cooler.
