Why does he want to move to Vancouver?

Thanks to all the comments about "snow" in Vancouver, WA. After all the snow I've had to shovel in Bavaria, Germany (where we lived during an assignment there)...and Seoul, Korea....no thanks! No snow for me. Wet or dry or fluffy, or whatever. Don't get me wrong...I love snow...as long as I don't have to drive on it...or shovel it. Good to hear that it rarely snows in Vancouver...'cause I am seriously considering moving there. Don't mind rain... but not too much of it.

It does not RAIN much in Vancouver. Just drizzles for 200+ days / yr (I get 100"+/ yr, more than 2x Vancouver (I'm at a higher elevation, tho very near)

Usually only 2-3 days of snow (~4-6") in Vancouver.
you never need to shovel, as rain will wash it away in a couple of days.

I miss snow (the VERY dry snow of WY and Colorado). I love to drive in snow / blizzards, it helps keep me awake!, I was a commercial driver for many yrs in the mtn states. Ice storms of SW WA... I am not so keen on those.

A few yrs ago we had a Vancouver Christmas Day snow storm. It drifted to the top of our frt door.

If you can afford to live there, your boyfriend is crazy to consider moving to Vancouver. He'd be trading wonderful sunny weather for 200 days of gray, rain and wind, and a totally different lifestyle. If he insists, I'd find a new boyfriend.
