When I bought my car, I had my friend who also has XM program my radio station presets. He knows my taste. I don't pay attention to the channel numbers because I've got stereo controls on my steering wheel. I just shuffle through them until I find a song I like. I should go to the XM website and see which stations are available.
Well, it used to be the 80s but ever since they merged with Sirrius and brought in the old MTV V-Jays it has sucked. They tell boring stories with no point and it sounds like someone kung fu chopped Nina Blackwood in the throat. They talk over the music which is one of the reasons I left terrestrial radio in the first place.
I noticed today that they also repeat their stories. While I didn't think someone was sitting in the studio live talking and queing up the music at least record enough intros that they don't have to be replayed. I heard Mark Goodman repeat the same boring into to a song this morning, can't remember which one.
I want to like "Lucy", but it seems like every 5th song is something from the "Red Hot Chili Peppers" and I hate that band!!!!
Lucy was cool when it was around. For a number of years I worked beside Bill Hutton the "Lucy" Program Director, this was years before Lucy though. STRANGE GUY with a very weird sense of humor ( he once faked his own wedding..why? nobody knows) and he was a big fan of the Red Hot Chili Peppers..no wonder they got so much airplay on Lucy.
