sure appreciate these threads, you all do great work. TWC is nothing but Hollywood wannabes and I'm grateful for the knowledge and updates. I'm in SC two hours inland and have learned to rely on CD/weather/hurricane/psycoma cambium and more!
You will get much more rain than i will. The stronger it gets the more the rain wraps up closer to the center. I wish it would be a lop sided system where the rain gets pushed well to the east of the center.

The center would have to be near Cross city to bring me some real rain. I am in the orange zone for surge but it won't be a problem at 6ft or less. 8 ft or more would flood half of my hood.
It's one thing for a Hurricane to be major and strong many days before a landfall, (has room to weaken), but it's another when it's actually strengthening a day before landfall. THAT is not what you wanna see. It's got a lot of breathing room and the only thing to weaken it is the land itself now? Lets hope it weakens some right before.
Have they evacuated people in the Panhandle within my red box?
Northern half of Georgia, you're fine! Just some windy conditions and scattered showers.
Southern half of Georgia, Get ready for Tropical wind gusts and downpours! (not sure about river overflow forecasts)
It's not like this system is slowing or stalling so precip totals wont be insane. Should stay under 10" for most. (its still a lot and enough to cause flooding) Some local areas in the pandle maybe more.
Dry air doesn't like to be left out of the equation just yet it seems. Will it affect the storm? Time will tell. Continued strengthening likely unless it does though.
