Birdies stand on one foot! :) Happy birdies? (eggs, budgie)

I got one of the two new birdies, the little baby bird (lines still across the head) and the younger Yellow Bird (I think Popcorn is waiting to lay eggs, she feels pregnant) -- I got these three birdies in the computer room, to "get used to me" and all. Two are on top of the computer monitor and Yellow Bird is on my shoulder! She bit my ear (owww!) but she is enjoying learning "Finger."

I'm reading about breeding birdies; probably will even get one more. Seems they do so in "Seasons." I wonder if Popcorn can hold an egg in for that long? I may get a nesting box... but, Blue Baby is standing on one foot. (Or he was, a few minutes ago.) This means he is a happy birdie?

Yes; I've read it's a sign of well-being in pet birds (budgies, anyway.) Congratulations on your possible new addition!

Absolutely correct. It is normal behavior for many birds.

BTW: female birds don't hold a fully developed egg for months at a time until breeding season comes along. Egg binding is a dangerous condition that will often kill female birds if a fully developed egg is carried for too long.

They typically start laying eggs in the Spring and early Summer months in an outside environment. When living indoors, they can lay at other times of the year, especially with smaller birds.
