I knew they were unsightly from photos, but it still managed to be even less attractive in the metal.
I saw one in a parking lot a few days ago, check out the panel gaps on the rear corners. It literally looks like someone tack welded the panels on the inside and had no plans to finish the exterior ends/corners. Mad Max had better fit and finish on his vehicles.

We were on the freeway so I didn’t have the luxury of checking details.
Another cool one today: a four-eyed Fox, but not just any: it was a Mercury Capri with that hunchbacky bubble window hatchback. And if the fender badges are to be believed, it was indeed a 5.0.
This morning I was out early for a bike ride in Tucson AZ. I passed by a 1959 Edsel Villager station wagon in very good, original looking condition. Two tone paint, white roof and trim with a mostly turquoise body.
Tucson is loaded with 1950s to 1970s original looking vehicles due to the dry air and lack of salt use on roads. The biggest detriment to the cars is intense sun, but if a car is parked in a carport or anyplace out of direct sunlight, it can last decades assuming mechanical maintenance is not an issue.

Pre-86 I think the mighty 5.0 was less than 175 HP.
Late model Toyota Supra, shouldent be rare but they are.
