Especially appealing is its music program, with its Chancel Choir and 191-rank Casavant Frères organ. The annual presentation of Handel’s Messiah brings in a huge, citywide audience.

Description: Founded in 1993, this nondenominational church in Fort Worth’s medical district prides itself on its diversity and inclusive spirit. A number of ministries serve the community and members who are in need. There are two Sunday services and some midweek activities, too.

Description: A quickly growing, nondenominational Bible church, Christ Chapel has recently opened a big, contemporary building near the Cultural District. The ministry approach here uses what’s called the Life Stage Model, spanning the phases of life from childhood to senior adult, each with its own pastor. A contemporary worship service is offered twice on Sunday as is one traditional.

Description: This new church near downtown is a branch of a bigger nondenominational church just north of DFW Airport. It’s expansive, casual, and youthful, with three Sunday services and lots of groups for members to join. Youth ministry is a big focus.
