Description: Tucked away in the hills of the Eastside in nearby Horizon City, it was at Emerald Springs that still-undiscovered golfer Lee Trevino started his career when he upset the daunting PGA golfer, Raymond Floyd. Built on a natural spring in 1963, this leafy golf club was renovated in 2007, including an expansion of the clubhouse, which now houses a stately coral reef aquarium. The clubhouse restaurant overlooks the 18th green, while the 3,000-square-foot fitness center houses over 40 pieces of exercise equipment, including free weights, cardio stations, stationary bicycles, universals, and abdominal equipment. Each cardio station overlooks the pristine swimming pool and lush green front yard bordered with weeping willows. Memberships start at $40 per month with a one-year commitment, while greens fees range from $20 to $35 depending on day and time.
