25. Ford Park Disc Golf Course

City: Shreveport, LA
Category: Parks & Recreation
Telephone: (318) 673-7727
Address: 5784 S. Lakeshore Dr.

Description: This 18-hole course presents its fair share of challenges for a player, with some elevation and many pine trees. Of course, being located on the shores of Cross Lake adds to the experience. This par 56 course has seen more action recently since the park opened a new bathroom facility. Long concrete tee pads make play that much more enjoyable, but also look for the alternative tees made of dirt.

26. Highland Park Disc Golf Course

City: Shreveport, LA
Category: Parks & Recreation
Address: 1700 Gilbert St.

Description: This 2,500-foot course has the greatest variation of elevations of any in the area. While only nine holes, you will find this par 27 course fun to play, since the placement of trees will force you to think about each shot. Because of the tree cover, however, much of the course consists of dirt. Like the Clyde Fant course, no bathrooms.

27. Lake Bistineau State Park Disc Course

City: Shreveport, LA
Category: Parks & Recreation
Telephone: (318) 745-3503 or (888) 677-24

Description: While you will be asked to pay a nominal fee for parking, this course is worth it. Definitely not for the beginner or the person who does not want to walk and experience the great outdoors. The newest course in the area, this 18-hole, par 60 course snakes through the woods, offering tight fairways and numerous challenges in both elevations and obstacles. Expect grass tees, water shots, and incredible beauty.
