Address: 2231 Holiday Manor Center

Description: Open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, this restaurant in the Holiday Manor shopping center has become one of the city’s most popular restaurants in recent years. The draw is the innovative cooking of chef-owner Fernando Martinez, who specializes in small-plate Spanish tapas with a Cuban vibe. What was already a good place for tapas was kicked up a notch or two in early 2007 after Martinez spent a couple of months in Europe, taking a six-week intensive culinary program at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris and traveling to Spain for culinary influence. With more than 30 tapas plus salads, flatbread dishes, sandwiches, and paella—all reasonably priced and portioned—it’s a place for an affordable feast with a group of friends who like to sit around and share their food.
