Description: Sunset has both 9- and 18-hole options, a pro shop, instruction, and rentals. Fees for Longmont residents are $14 for 9 holes and $21 for 18 holes. Junior and senior weekday rates are $11 and $16. Par is 34 and 68 for 9 and 18 holes, respectively. Golf carts rent for $16 and $24 but usually are not necessary on this layout, which is a pleasure to walk.

Description: Twin Peaks offers 9 and 18 holes, a driving range, pro shop, snack bar, and a restaurant. Instruction and rentals are available. Residents pay $16 for 9 holes on weekdays and $26 for 18 holes, $17 and $28 on weekends. The par is 35 for both the front and back nines. Golf carts ($16 and $24) are generally not necessary because the course is so flat.

Description: Another popular sailing spot (only wakeless boating allowed) is Union Reservoir. From Boulder, take the Diagonal Highway (Highway 119) east to Weld County Road 1, and follow the signs. Or, from Longmont take Ninth Avenue east to County Line Road, turn right and follow the signs. The gate fee for vehicles is $6.
