Description: Sondra Bernstein owns two restaurants in the Sonoma Valley: the one described in the Sonoma listings, and this one, a bright and airy place that serves American comfort food with French accents. Figs are featured in some dishes, but you can also expect several pizzas and sandwiches, duck confit, braised pot roast, chicken stew, and such satisfying desserts as a mixed nut tart with caramel sauce. Prices are reasonable, kids are welcome, and the blues can be heard on the sound system. Open for dinner every night, and brunch on Saturday and Sunday (the cafe eggs Florentine is scrumptious).

Description: Look for this popular cafe’s bright green awning. Breakfast is the big draw, with eggs Benedict in several varieties and sizes (one, two, or three eggs) leading the popularity list and omelets and scrambles following close behind. Description: Set inside a Cape Cod–style cottage, this tiny restaurant delivers one delight after another. You have three choices of where to eat—the indoor dining room, the sun porch, or the patio. In addition to oysters done many ways, expect California fusion cuisine, such as artichoke and Stilton ravioli. The desserts are truly decadent. If you can manage two, go for the warm pecan spice bread pudding and the French vanilla ice cream rolled in toasted coconut and drizzled with caramel sauce. The bar serves about 30 types of martinis.
