The ferry traffic to/from the peninsula has been really heavy this summer, I would definitely drive around.

If in Downtown Seattle, just take the Bainbridge ferry and then drive from there to Port Angeles. Driving to Edmonds from Downtown to take the Kingston ferry would just add time to your trip. Do not take the Bremerton ferry. The earlier you can get started, the quicker you'll get there, of course.

The "scenic route" would be to drive north to Mukilteo and take the ferry to Clinton on Whidbey Island, then drive north to Coupeville and take the ferry to Port Townsend.

You didn't say what you'll be doing at Olympic National Park. I'm guessing: Hurricane Ridge, Lake Crescent, Sol Duc Hot Springs, Hoh Valley rain forest, and/or the La Push area beaches.

Drive over the Narrows bridge. You will have traffic until about Silverdale but getting to the ferry in Seattle will be a nightmare, and you may have to wait for the 2nd or 3rd boat. Commute time ferries in summer are horrible, with weekenders and vacationers mixed in with the ferry commuters it can be a 2-3 hour wait to get on a boat.
