Thanks Creature of the Wheel! Those areas are some of my favorite areas in all of Washington, Mount Adams and Mount Rainier, both which are equally beautiful in their own ways. Mt Rainier has rugged, subalpine mountains, wildflowers, and huge glaciers; and Mt Adams has huge lava flows, wildflowers, as well as glaciers too. These two mountains, after all, are often considered "sister mountains."

Comparing them:

Mt. Rainier's Paradise is to Mt. Adams' Bird Creek Meadows.

Mt. Rainier's Reflection Lakes is to Mount Adams' Takhlakh Lake.

Mt. Rainier's Wonderland Trail is to Mount Adams' Round the Mountain-Highline Trails

and, Mt. Rainier's flat summit area is to Mt. Adams flat summit area.

Mt. Adams from the north:

and Mt. Rainier from the south:

Thanks Lamplight! I have a better camera now, so this year I'm planning on photographing and filming all over Washington, specifically Mt. Rainier, Mt. Adams, Mt. Baker, Mt. St. Helens, Olympic NP, North Cascades, Mt. Shuksan, and the Central WA Cascades, but with heavy emphasis on Mt. Adams and North Cascades!

An almost-emptied Alder Lake, on the way to Mt. Rainier
